The 100 Claim Files Project

Every claims pro has one story they still tell.

We're compiling 100 real, anonymized workers' comp claim stories into a book: the fraud that unraveled, the record nobody read, the claim that taught you the lesson. Ours are on the site. Now we want yours.

For adjusters, risk managers, brokers, attorneys, safety pros, and employers.

What We're Looking For

The claim you still talk about.

If you've spent time in workers' comp, on any professional side of it, you have one. The surveillance that told the real story. The intake note that broke the case. The return-to-work offer that saved a six-figure claim. The mistake that taught you what never to do again.

🕵️

The ones that unraveled

Fraud exposed, stories that changed, evidence that surfaced at exactly the right moment.

💡

The ones that taught you

The claim that changed how you investigate, reserve, or manage every file that came after it.

🎢

The ones nobody believes

The strangest claim you ever handled. Every veteran has one. We want it on the record.

The Ground Rules

Real stories, fully anonymized.

The same standards we apply to our own Claim Files apply to yours.

What to include

  • What happened, in your own words. Don't worry about polish; we edit everything.
  • The turning point: what cracked it open or turned it around
  • The lesson another employer or claims pro should take from it

What to leave out

  • Names, employers, claim numbers, or anything that identifies a real person or company
  • Anything confidential or privileged from a current or former employer
  • Anything from litigation that is still active

Every published story is edited and anonymized to our standards, and clearly credited as a "From the Field" contribution. You choose whether to be named or stay anonymous.
